Netherlands reactor to achieve first full power day Sept. 9

Covidien revises Mo-99 supply through September

Covidien has posted molybdenum-99 (Mo-99) supply updates through September, and information for the U.S., Europe, Middle East, Africa and Canada. The Canadian National Research Universal reactor is currently projected to return to service in mid-August, and the Dutch High Flux Reactor in early September, and the resulting Mo-99 supply from each is expected several days after the reactors are back online, said Covidien.
 

Repair work on the High Flux Reactor cooling water pipes complete

The Nuclear Research and Consultancy Group said the repair work on the cooling water pipes of the High Flux Reactor in Petten, the Netherlands, has been successfully concluded. The return-to-service plan has been approved, and the first start-up preparation activities will take place at the end of August.
