GE Healthcare taps new CEO, Hogan departs for energy industry |

GE Chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt has appointed John Dineen as president and CEO of GE Healthcare.
Joseph Hogan, the former CEO and president of GE Healthcare, has
accepted a position as CEO of ABB, a producer of power and automation
systems. Hogan, who had a 23-year career at GE, will begin with ABB on
September 1.
Dineen is a 22-year GE veteran and has been president and CEO of GE
Transportation since 2005, according to the company. In his new
position, Dineen will be located at GE Healthcare’s London
headquarters.
Lorenzo Simonelli will succeed Dineen as president and CEO of GE Transportation, according to Immelt.
Before heading GE Transportation, Dineen served as vice president and
general manager of Plastics at GE Advanced Materials and held various
assignments in corporate finance, the company said. Dineen also served
as general manager of GE Power Equipment; general manager of the Meter
business; general manager of the Microwave and Air-conditioning
businesses; manager of finance for GE Asia in Hong Kong; and president
of GE Plastics-Pacific.
