The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI)
this week named Barry F. Uretsky, MD, FSCAI, as its 28th president
during society's Annual Scientific Sessions. Uretsky is currently
director of the cardiovascular catheterization laboratory and director
of the Division of Cardiology at The University of Texas Medical Branch
at Galveston, SCAI said.
Dr. Uretsky backgrounds includes being a Fellow of SCAI in 1993,
chaired the SCAI Scientific Sessions in 2001, launched the Society's
Development Committee in 2002, and has serviced as Trustee since 2001
and as the Society's secretary in 2003-04.
