Vendors join to talk interoperability |
Executives from Cisco Systems, GE Healthcare, IBM and Microsoft will be
among delegates discussing the challenge of integration and
interoperability in healthcare during two sessions on Nov. 11th at The
World Health Care Innovation and Technology Congress at the Marriott
Wardman Park Hotel, Washington, D.C.
The meetings have been designed to excel communication between
suppliers, buyers and government policy-makers regarding health
information technology towards the goal of creating a nation-wide
electronic health record system.
Information regarding the sessions is as follows:
- Clinical Data Integration and Interoperability (11:00am -
12:00pm) - This interactive forum will address involving purchasers who
will present their technology background and current and future needs.
A panel of commentators will provide insights, perspective, and the
session will include feedback from an audience;
- Health Care's Future - The Interoperability Mandate. Interview of
Key Health Care Technology Leaders (12:00pm - 1:00pm) - This keynote
panel will address how the vision and plans of major technology
companies hope to fulfill the needs of users and help move the country
towards the goal of a national health care information infrastructure.
