If responses to last week’s reader poll are any indication, healthcare providers are not convinced that the 1.5 percent payment bonus (based on gross income) from Medicare will be enough to provoke physician participation in the program. Nearly half (46.7 percent) said they did not believe such an incentive would be enough to get doctors to take part.
