The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) education and research foundation have awarded four Elekta radiation therapy educators scholarships.
The four $5,000 scholarships are presented annually to radiation therapy program directors, faculty members, clinical coordinators or clinical instructors who are pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree.
The recipients are:
- Carla Borden of Jonesboro, Ark., is enrolled in a master’s degree program at Arkansas State University.
- Mellonie Brown of Shelbyville, Ky., is pursuing a master’s degree at Boise State University.
- Ronnie Lozano of Tyler, Texas., is enrolled in the education doctoral degree program at Texas State University.
- Shellie Warino of Mineral Ridge, Ohio, is pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Youngstown State University.
Elekta has committed $75,000 to the scholarship program, according to ASRT.
