Cardinal to distribute UltraSPECT?s nuclear imaging software
CHICAGO—Cardinal Health has signed an exclusive agreement with UltraSPECT to provide imaging processing software to cut scanning time in half or double the image resolution of existing nuclear medical imaging equipment, which was announced at the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Scientific Sessions.

UltraSPECT’s wide-beam reconstruction (WBR) technology reduces scan time without compromising image quality, and the image reconstruction process is transparent to the department's clinical workflow, according to the Dublin, Ohio-based Cardinal.

The agreement expands Cardinal’s products and services to deliver more solutions to its nuclear medicine customers, said John Rademacher, president of nuclear and specialty pharmacy services for Cardinal.

Under the terms of the multiyear agreement, Cardinal will have exclusive U.S. distribution rights for UltraSPECT’s WBR image processing packages for cardiac and bone nuclear imaging applications.
