Foresight Imaging has released version 2.2 of its TIMS DICOM system with new features that include audio recording and annotation as well as audio playback.

Additional features include JPEG 2000 file import; export to BMP & PNG file formats; DICOM send lists; study editing improvements; update patient information; study review improvements for speech pathology and other general workflow enhancements, according to the Chelmsford, Mass.-based company.

TIMS converts any non-DICOM medical modality to DICOM, and the resulting digital study can be sent to PACS, recorded to CD/DVD/USB, and printed to film or paper.
