Harris delivers updated NHIN software
Harris Healthcare Solutions has released Connect 2.4, the latest version of its Connect software, to enable healthcare organizations to exchange patient information on the Nationwide Health Information Network (NHIN).

Connect was developed under contract for the Federal Health Architecture project within the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT.

According to the company, benefits of Connect 2.4 include:

  • Decreased compilation times.

Connect 2.4 offers enhancements to the open-source enterprise framework, compliance with updated NHIN specifications, security improvements and progress toward the development of a neutral platform, according to Harris, of Melbourne, Fla.
