HIMSS: InterSystems highlights partnerships, demos
InterSystems announced a number of partnerships and technology demonstrations at HIMSS11 in Orlando, Fla., last week.

The announcements included:
  • CentraCare Health System has completed an organization-wide rollout of the InterSystems Ensemble integration and development platform. CentraCare, based in St. Cloud, Minn., is an integrated delivery network that includes hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinics and specialty care services. In addition to using Ensemble to integrate applications and data repositories within the organization, CentraCare has launched an Ensemble-based system to interface with the external healthcare providers who are part of its affiliate program.
  • The University of California (UC) Davis Health System had rolled out the InterSystems Ensemble integration and development platform enterprise-wide at the UC Davis Medical Center, which provides care to more than 200,000 patients annually. The deployment will enable clinicians to receive data that was previously unavailable. Developers at UC Davis have also built interfaces that make it possible to query applications and, based on the response, transfer data more effectively.
  • The Brooklyn Health Information Exchange (BHIX) demonstrated its InterSystems HealthShare software in a public health use case defined by the New York State Department of Health. The demo showed an implementation of New York State’s Universal Public Health Node (UPHN) project. In the demonstration, HealthShare used the analytic query, line list query, patient query and pseudonymize/re-identify services within the UPHN specification. These services are based on principles endorsed by the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise consortium, the Nationwide Health Information Network and the Health Information Technology Standards Panel and HL7.
  • Digital Technology International, a digital publishing software company, announced the launch of DTI Health, a new suite of digital content management solutions for the healthcare industry that create a personalized web experience for physicians and patients. DTI Health works with InterSystems HealthShare technologies to manage health data in a secure and consent-managed environment built on InterSystems’ technologies. Leveraging InterSystems HealthShare, DTI Health displays the patient’s information and automatically adds relevant provider-approved information. Patients also can schedule appointments, pay their bills and perform other self-serve functions.
InterSystems, based in Cambridge, Mass., specializes in advanced integration, database and business intelligence technologies.
