McKesson records higher net income, revenues for Q4, FY2009
McKesson has reported increased revenues and net income for the 2010 fourth quarter, as well as its fiscal year, compared with the 2009 fourth quarter and fiscal year.

The company said its revenues for the fourth quarter, which ended March 31, were $26.6 billion compared with $26.2 billion a year ago. For the 2010 fiscal year, ending at the same date, the company had revenues of $108.7 billion compared with $106.6 billion a year ago.

“We entered the year at a time of economic uncertainty. We are pleased that we were able to overcome a challenging environment and deliver double-digit earnings growth,” said John H. Hammergren, chairman and CEO of the San Francisco-based company.

According to McKesson, its net income for the 2010 fourth quarter rose 24 percent over the previous-year quarter to $348 million. Likewise, its year-end net income rose 53% to $1.27 billion in the 2010 fiscal year.
