Medsphere Systems, a provider of open source-based EHR systems and services, has appointed Michael Doyle as president and CEO.

Doyle succeeds MedSphere CEO Kenneth Kizer, MD, who will remain with the company as its chairman.

The Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based Medsphere said that Doyle most recently served as president and CEO of Advantedge Healthcare Solutions.
