National eHealth Collaborative looking to fill four vacancies
The nonprofit National eHealth Collaborative (NeHC) last week invited nominations for leaders in the healthcare fields to serve on the NeHC Board of Directors.

NeHC is a public-private partnership developed through an open, multi-year, multi-stakeholder process and operates under a cooperative agreement with the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology.

“In 2010, NeHC will continue to be deeply engaged in driving broader efforts to educate, provide practical guidance and encourage collaboration and consensus among stakeholders,” said NeHC Nominations Committee Chair Janet Corrigan, president and CEO of the National Quality Forum.

There are four vacancies on the NeHC Board, and elected board members will be expected to serve out the remainder of their predecessors' terms. The open seats will have one-year, two-year and three-year terms.

Stakeholders may self-nominate or recommend a colleague by completing an online form at the NeHC website.

Nominations for NeHC’s board of directors will be accepted through Dec. 25. A provisional slate of nominations will be posted on the NeHC website for 10 days of public comment in early January 2010 and elections by the membership will be held in late January 2010.
