FDA clears PET scanner from Positron, Neusoft
Positron, a cardiac molecular imaging solutions company, has received FDA 510(k) approval for its Attrius PET scanner product line, developed by the company in its joint venture with Neusoft Medical Systems based in Shenyang, China.

The Indianapolis-based Positron said its Attrius product line was developed to provide physicians with a cardiac PET molecular imaging system. The Attrius scanner comes with a feature set designed for cardiac perfusion imaging, such as a coronary artery disease software suite that includes: mercator projections, normal database comparison, coronary artery tree and distribution overlay map, rapid segmented attenuation correction, motion correction, and open acquisition architecture for quantitative flow reserve imaging.
