GE's new SPECT camera nabs FDA clearance
The FDA has granted clearances for GE Healthcare's Brivo NM615, a single-head nuclear medicine gamma camera with SPECT capability.

Built with GE’s detector design and Evolution technology, the Brivo NM615 has a 28-inch wide bore and a table capable of handling patients up to 500 pounds, according to Waukesha, Wis.-based GE. The system can be upgraded on site to GE's Discovery NM630 or the Discovery NM/CT 670 SPECT/CT hybrid systems through onsite hardware changes.

Brivo NM615 can be used with GE's Xeleris workstation--which integrates new and existing nuclear medicine equipment, including legacy GE and non-GE devices. Xeleris can keep clinicians connected to images and applications from PACS and PCs within their institution and remotely.
