Cell>Point announced that F. David Rollo, M.D., has been named as the company's new president. Rollo was previously the chief medical officer of Philips Medical Systems. At Cell>Point Rollo will oversee the final developments of the company’s oncology molecular imaging agent, 99mTc-EC-DG (Technetium-99m-ethylenedicysteine-deoxyglucose), which will be submitted for FDA clearance in 2007. 99mTc-EC-DG is the first oncology imaging agent designed to image certain cancers and cardiovascular diseases on existing SPECT "Gamma" cameras.
