Siemens displays latest preclinical imaging technologies
Siemens Healthcare Molecular Imaging is exhibiting its modular Inveon preclinical discovery platform which allows users to combine PET, SPECT and CT acquisition systems in one unit at the World Molecular Imaging Congress (WMIC) in Kyoto, Japan.

At WMIC, Siemens is featuring Inveon’s suite of new SPECT collimators and associated pyramids to enable whole-body rat imaging. The collimator sets include collimators for general purpose, as well as SPECT preclinical imaging, said Siemens.

The new set of collimators is supported by the latest version of Inveon Acquisition Workplace 1.5., which includes a new reconstruction algorithm, OP-MAP, for PET studies. In combination with fastMAP algorithm, OP-MAP is capable of performing quicker reconstructions, added Siemens.
