U.K. provider installs Siemens' workflow server
Pilgrim Hospital in Boston, England, which is part of United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, has installed symbia.net, a clinical workflow server from Siemens Healthcare.

This installation of a thin-client application is assisting the hospital with remote processing and reporting of nuclear medicine images and data. According to the company, symbia.net gives the nuclear medicine staff access to processing and reading capabilities of SPECT and SPECT/CT studies from a standard networked PC having the client software installed.

At Pilgrim, acquired images from the Siemens’ c.cam cardiac gamma camera and the Symbia S SPECT system are sent to the symbia.net server, where they can be processed locally or remotely.
