Accuray appoints Lavigne as board chair
Radiosurgery developer Accuray has appointed Louis J. Lavigne, Jr. to chair its board of directors, succeeding Wayne Wu, who is stepping down as chairperson but will remain on the board of directors.

Lavigne, who had most recently served as a management consultant specializing in the areas of corporate finance, accounting and strategy, has been a member of Accuray’s board since September 2009 and has served as the chair of its compensation committee. In addition, he currently serves on the boards of directors of Allergan and BMC Software, and also sits on the board of trustees for the California Institute of Technology, said the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company.

Prior to his employment at Accuray, Lavigne served as the chief financial officer and executive vice president of San Francisco-based biotechnology company Genentech.
