PPD, VirtualScopics align for oncology imaging research
Contract research organization PPD and imaging technology provider VirtualScopics have entered into a partnership for medical imaging services for oncology research and development programs.

According to the companies, the partnership will provide biopharmaceutical companies medical imaging information to expedite their drug development programs and allow for the establishment of study startup, screening and enrollment, determination of endpoints for radiographic response and progression, management of imaging data and proactive risk management. 

VirtualScopics said the contribution of its algorithm-based approach to image processing and biomarker measurement will enable the organization to facilitate progress for its clients’ drug development from early phase to regulatory approval, stated Wilmington, N.C.-based PPD.
