Salt Lake City- April 9, 2013– AMIRSYS® previews its new RADPrimer® Learning Portal for Radiology Residents with the release of Version 3.0. This new release previews the transformation from RADPrimer 2.0, a case-based learning tool focused on making the right diagnosis to RADPrimer 3.0, a comprehensive radiology learning system with topic-driven lessons containing learning objectives, reading assignments, self-study assessment and pre- and post-learning quizzes. RADPrimer 3.0 now includes Physics & Safety assessments in addition to the 11 traditional radiology disciplines.

RADPrimer, released in early 2010, is the first comprehensive online learning portal created specifically to meet the needs of both radiology residents and program directors. RADPrimer provides educational content aligned to the curriculum for radiology residents and provides residents a means to master this curriculum through both learning and testing modes. This competency-based curriculum covers the 11 core disciplines for radiology residency plus Physics & Safety to ensure that residents receive sufficient training in all areas, and provides residents with easy access to high-quality educational materials while also facilitating program instruction and resident self-study.
RADPrimer is composed of two separate modules that meet the respective needs of residents and program directors. The Resident Module allows residents to master content in all 11 core disciplines of radiology, self-assess with unknown case challenges, deep-dive study into curriculum and track individual progress. The Academic Administrative Module allows program directors to effortlessly lead residents through the curriculum; monitor improvement through pre- and post-tests; track resident performance and study time; monitor statistics by resident, year, or program; and produce summary report documentation for ACGME records. RADPrimer is available to residents, residency programs, or both as an annual subscription.
