Eclipsys has laid off nearly 100 employees in an effort to put more focus on client support as well as reduce overall operations costs, the company said. Additionally, four executive VPs also have departed.

Meanwhile Jay Deady has been named vice president of customer solutions for the company. Deady is a former McKesson Corp. vice president and general manager.

John Adams, current executive VP, business solutions, has had his job role expanded to encompass outsourcing services and the company's Technology Solutions Center based in Mountain Lakes, N.J.

The company expects the $7 million severance costs, and other restructuring costs to have a neutral effect on the company's 2006 earnings, according to a statement.
