AngioDynamics, which develops medical devices for the treatment of cancers and peripheral vascular disease, has elected Kevin J. Gould to serve on its board of directors to replace Paul S. Echenberg, who recently retired.

Previously, Gould was seated as chief operating officer (COO) of Tyco Healthcare, now Coviden, and held various management positions at the company between 1991 and 2009. In addition to serving as the company’s COO, he was president of its North America operations, and served on the board of trustees of St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton, Mass.
