Aspyra, a provider of clinical and diagnostic information services for the healthcare industry, has named James Helms, as interim chief operating officer (COO).

The appointment follows the resignation of Aspyra CEO, Steven Besbeck, effective Nov. 30. The Calabasas, Calif.-based company said it has started searching for a new CEO.

John Mutch, executive chairman of the board, said Helms was chosen because his 24 years with the company will “help Aspyra through this transitional period.”
