Biotel appoints Strandquist to EVP, consolidates Biosensor division
Biotel has appointed Harold Strandquist to executive VP of business development, sales and marketing, and has consolidated its Advanced Biosensor division into the Braemar division. Business will operate under Braemar Division going forward, the company said.

Biotel has transferred manufacturing of its Braemar tissue management and fluid extraction equipment from King, N.C., to Braemar. The company said its management and operations will remain in Columbia, S.C., where Advanced Biosensor is located.

Strandquist will serve as EVP for all Biotel operations, including Biotel operations include the Eagan, Minn.-based Braemar, manufacturer of cardiac monitoring systems as well as tissue management and fluid extraction equipment; Agility Division of Chicago, a clinical research organization providing ECG monitoring services for clinical trials; and
Advanced Biosensor division, a service and support facility for heart monitors in hospitals.

Strandquist, who was previously head of Braemar, joined the company in January 2002 as general manager and has served as Braemar president since October 2002, the Minneapolis-based Biotel said. Before that, he held executive management positions at ELA Medical, Angeion and Medtronic.
