CardioNet taps Thurman as president, CEO
The board of directors at CardioNet, a developer of wireless cardiac arrhythmia monitoring devices, has appointed its chairman Randy Thurman as president and CEO, who has served as interim president and CEO since January.

Previously, Thurman served as chairman and CEO of Viasys Healthcare, a medical technology company that was acquired by Cardinal Health, according to the Conshohocken, Pa.-based company.

Prior to that, Thurman was chairman of the board and CEO of Corning Life Sciences, a medical technology company with a focus in contract pharmaceutical research, contract biologic manufacturing and clinical diagnostic testing. Earlier in his career, Thurman was President of Rhone-Poulenc Rorer Pharmaceuticals, a research-based pharmaceutical company.
