Executive news: Richardson Electronics names new healthcare VP, Imaging on Call gets COO
Richardson Electronics named Harley Firth as vice president – healthcare for North America. Firth will be responsible for the sales and operations management of the Healthcare Division of the Display Systems Group, including product development and engineering, product management and marketing, and professional services.

Firth returns to the company after a 10-month period as consulting business developer with Siemens Display Technologies.


Imaging On Call hired Rodney W. Sappington as chief operating officer, responsible for strategic partnerships and all aspects of operational development. Sappington’s focus on operations will carry forward IOC’s customer service, while streamlining and expanding the operations of the rapidly growing company. As a PhD from Johns Hopkins Krieger School of Arts and Science, Sappington has been a consultant and evaluator for the Public Health Data Standards Consortium, Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, and has provided strategic leadership for a range of academic and community hospitals, radiology departments, and clinical centers throughout the US, EU, and Baltics. While continuing research into the social and clinical impact of e-health on care delivery in the US, he has advised on the World Health Organization’s multi-part documentary series on DOTS Global Awareness Program.
