GE Healthcare IT names De Witte president, CEO
GE Healthcare has selected Jan De Witte, currently president and CEO of GE Healthcare’s Performance Solutions division, as president and CEO of its Healthcare IT business.

De Witte, who reports to GE Healthcare President and CEO John Dineen, succeeds Vishal Wanchoo, who was recently chosen as senior vice president of growth initiatives for GE India. De Witte will continue to serve as CEO of the GE Performance Solutions division.

Healthcare IT is a $1.4 billion segment of GE Healthcare, which delivers IT solutions from the physician’s office to the integrated delivery network that support high-quality and cost-effective care through business, clinical and imaging applications covering settings, stated Barrington, Ill.-based GE Healthcare. GE Performance Solutions provides ways to organize, measure and manage healthcare delivery throughout the patient care cycle.

De Witte has served in a number of strategic technology and business leadership roles since he joined GE in 1999. Previously, he led GE Healthcare’s $1.2 billion Services business across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, a role that also oversaw the company’s regional healthcare IT businesses.

De Witte graduated from Belgium's Katholieke Universiteit Leuven with a Master of Science in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School.
