GE Healthcare this week announced the promotion of Mark Vachon to the position of president and CEO of the company's Diagnostic Imaging business, based in Waukesha, Wis. Vachon replaces Reinaldo Garcia, who has been named president and CEO of GE Healthcare - International.

Vachon is a career veteran of GE, having spent a number of years within the company's Appliances business. In 1998, Vachon was promoted to vice president of investor relations with GE Corporate. In 2002, he was appointed executive vice president and CFO of NBC. In July 2003, he was appointed executive vice president and CFO at GE Healthcare.
