Icon, a provider of outsourced services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries, has appointed James Conklin, MD, as senior vice president of medical and scientific affairs and Jonathan Goldman, MD, as chief medical officer (CMO) at Icon Medical Imaging.

The Dublin, Ireland-based Icon said Conklin will oversee its international regulatory, medical and scientific issues, and provide client support in designing strategies for medical imaging analysis. He previously served as the CEO and chairman of Bio-Imaging Technologies, a company he founded in 1990.

Goldman is a cardiologist certified in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and CT angiography with experience in other non-invasive imaging modalities in clinical trials, Icon said. He joins Icon Medical Imaging from Point Biomedical, where he was CMO.
