KDDI, a Japanese telecommunications operator, and TeraRecon are offering a cloud-based, 3D imaging processing and system in Japan.

The system combines TeraRecon's 3D medical imaging delivery technology with the KDDI Cloud Platform Service to provide processing on par with an onsite server, according to TeraRecon.

The network allows 3D images to be viewed and processed on a variety of devices, including personal computers, tablets and smartphones.
