Philips lands FDA clearance for its Spectral Diagnostic Suite

The FDA has granted 510(k) clearance to Philips’ Spectral Diagnostic Suite, a set of advanced visualization and analysis tools designed for the Philips IQon Spectral CT.

The suite offers enhanced spectral viewing and advanced clinical capabilities within traditional CT applications, allowing for use of spectral information without special modes or workstations, according to the company. Viewing and analysis of spectral datasets could be done in the reading room or from remote locations.

Included in the Philips Spectral Diagnostic Suite is spectral enhanced comprehensive cardiac analysis, advanced vessel analysis and tumor tracking.
