Siemens chooses Nolen as its U.S. head
Siemens AG this week named George C. Nolen as president and CEO of Siemens Corp., based in New York City.

Nolen succeeds Klaus Kleinfeld, who has been named a member of the corporate executive committee for Siemens AG. Kleinfeld also assumes special regional responsibilities for Russia, the former Soviet Republics, Africa, and the Middle East, and will supervise the company's global strategic planning function.

For the time being, Nolen will hold his current position as president and CEO of Siemens Information and Communication Networks (ICN) in the United States, a post he has held since February 2002. ICN provides integrated voice and data networks and solutions for telecommunications carriers, cable providers and enterprise customers. From 1998 to 2002, Nolen served as president and CEO of Siemens Enterprise Networks LLC.
