Siemens names Fisher VP
Siemens Healthcare has appointed David Fisher as vice president, healthcare policy and strategy in the U.S., effective Feb. 27.

In this role, Fisher will drive management and direction of the company’s approach to U.S. government policy from within the healthcare sector. Additionally, he will represent Siemens in meetings with regulatory, payor and reimbursement agencies; and develop industry relationships, the Malvern, Pa.-based company said.

Fisher most recently held the position of executive director of the Medical Imaging & Technology Alliance (MITA) in Arlington, Va. In this role, he was responsible for the strategic positioning of legislative, regulatory and public relations activities as well as member relations. Prior to joining MITA, Fisher spent 13 years working for Congress and the administration, including senior positions in the Senate and the Office of Management and Budget.
