BioSphere Medical sees Q4 revenue rise, losses remain
BioSphere Medical reported an increase in revenue and losses for its fiscal 2007 fourth quarter unaudited results.

Total revenue for the fourth quarter of 2007 increased 6 percent to $6.70 million from total revenue of $6.34 million for the fourth quarter of 2006, according to BioSphere.

For the quarter, the Rockland, Mass.-based company reported operating expenses of $5.26 million, compared to $4.86 million for the fourth quarter of 2006, an increase of 8 percent.

The net loss applicable to common stockholders for the fourth quarter of 2007 was $380,000, compared to a net loss applicable to common stockholders of $334,000 in the same period last year, said the company.

BioSphere said its net loss applicable to common stockholders for the year which ended December 31, 2007 narrowed to $2.41 million, from a net loss of $2.85 million in 2006.
