The FDA cleared Carestream’s Vue Motion universal viewer on Oct. 8 for diagnostic reading of ECG waveforms on desktop computers and mobile tablets.
The image viewer allows clinicians to view ECG exams when treating patients with STEMI, chest pain and other heart conditions and illnesses. The Vue Motion uses a web browser or information embedded in an EMR portal and allows on-site or remote clinicians to access imaging data and patient information.
In November 2011, the FDA cleared the Vue Motion for viewing imaging exams on iPads and approved mobile devices.
