Visual ultrasound technology teaches the mechanics of speaking

Watching how something is performed before you try it out can be an excellent teaching tool, especially for those who can’t speak.

Researchers at University of Cincinnati Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic in the College of Allied Health Sciences have developed ultrasound technology to show clients just how their tongues work. With 30 patients already participating in the camp, results have been positive as they learn more about speech.
