3mensio has released an upgrade to its 3viseon software, an application which enables large CT and MRI datasets to be displayed as a 3D reconstruction. This software can operate as a standalone workstation or can be integrated into PACS. The 2.5 software upgrades are designed to improve communications with referring physicians and also the use of more advanced display technologies.   

Communicate with referring physicians is improved by using new features like annotations and 2D or 3D captured presets. Furthermore, the 3viseon 2.5 release supports the use of innovative display technologies such as the Planar Systems’ StereoMirror, with monitors ranging in size from 17 inch to 23 inch.
