ABC picks MedcomSoft as preferred EMR, Practice Management vendor
The Association of Black Cardiologists Inc. (ABC) announced this week the selection of MedcomSoft as its preferred supplier of electronic medical record and practice management systems (EMR/PMS) for members looking to acquire such systems.
The ABC, a nonprofit organization with an international membership of over 600 healthcare professionals, is dedicated to eliminating the disparities related to cardiovascular disease in all people of color, said ABC.
MedcomSoft Record 2006, the company’s fully integrated EMR/PMS system, is suited to meet the needs of the ABC and its members, the organization said in a release.
In addition, the MedcomSoft Clinical Data Repository (MCDR) is designed to create a central data repository of health information submitted in non-identifiable form to enable research on cardiovascular disease.
The ABC and MedcomSoft have entered into a definitive agreement for the benefit of the members of the ABC and other healthcare providers as selected by the ABC whose patient base has a significant African American percentage, the organization said.
