ABII trustees elect officers at first board meeting
The American Board of Imaging Informatics (ABII) board of trustees elected four officers during their first board meeting held Sept. 21 in Minneapolis.

The ABII board is charged with setting policy for the Imaging Informatics in Medicine certification program and for overseeing the operations of the organization.

Richard Morin, PhD, was elected chair of the board, along with Edward Bluth, MD, as vice chair. Paul Nagy, PhD, was selected as secretary, and Charles Socia, RT, was named treasurer, according to an ABII press release.

David Channin, MD and Charles Washington, RT, were identified as members of the board.

The ABII board has yet to name the remaining member of the seven-person board -- one public member who is not employed in the field of imaging informatics.
