Oncology equipment distributor and service provider Acceletronics reported that it has recently completed the installation of 12 TheraView LX electronic portal imaging devices (EPID) over the past four months to cancer treatment centers in Florida, Texas, California, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Colorado, according to the Exton, Pa.-based company. The TheraView EPID is an image guided radiotherapy (IGRT) cancer treatment verification system, designed by Dutch radiotherapy device manufacturer Cablon Medical.

The TheraView system delivers an extensive scope of mega-voltage portal imaging and quality assurance features for daily IGRT verification. The product’s TheraView Target Check with automated treatment beam shape verification and patient position verification software, provides clinicians capabilities for conventional, IGRT, and intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), Acceletronics said.
