AccuSoft announces new agreement and two extensions
AccuSoft Corp. has signed NextGen Healthcare Information Systems Inc. as a new customer and has secured what the company describes as "significant additional business" with both GE Medical Systems (GEMS) and DocStar.

NextGen is a wholly owned subsidiary of Quality Systems Inc., which develops computer-based practice management and electronic medical records systems for medical practices. NextGen has purchased 10,000 ImageGear MD licenses and 2,500 ImageTransport MD licenses.

GE Medical Systems has purchased an additional 1,500 ImageTransport MD licenses for use in its DICOM option for its Axial line of densitometers. GEMS' DICOM option uses AccuSoft's communications software to transfer image and test results to a picture archiving and communications system (PACS).

Document imaging firm DocStar has bought an additional 5,000 ImageGear licenses. DocStar uses ImageGear within its DocStar imaging system to display, zoon and rotate stored images. The DocStar application also uses ImageGear's annotation capability to add sticky notes, redactions, highlights and text notes to documents.
