AccuSoft, an imaging software development toolkits (SDKs) provider, has signed a contract with Apptis, an IT solutions and services provider to the federal marketplace, to support their imaging needs as they develop the military’s medical and dental clinical information system for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).

As part of the agreement, Apptis plans to license AccuSoft’s ImageGear MD toolkit and use the company’s ImageTransport communications software at six pilot sites, with the potential to expand the program to include all active military hospitals inside and outside the continental United States.

According to the Northborough, Mass.-based AccuSoft, the full deployment value of the contract is estimated to be in excess of $1 million.
