AccuSoft unveils signal processing toolbox
AccuSoft Corporation has announced a new Signal Processing Toolbox for its VisiQuest Version 4.2 data and image analysis system which the company showcased at this week’s HIMSS 2006 conference. Using the new add-on module, engineers in the fields of communications, audio/video analysis and development, radar/sonar, consumer, medical electronics and other markets can complete their prototypes sooner, the company said.

VisiQuest 4.2’s graphical programming environment combined with the wide-ranging set of functionality in the new toolbox allows electronics manufacturers to rapidly develop and test prototypes for applications such as signal compression and decompression, digital filter design, spectral analysis, and noise reduction.

The signal processing, analysis, and visualization functionality available in the toolbox allows scientists and engineers to easily apply and modify dozens of industry standard digital filters. Users can decompose signals using a series of transforms (i.e. FFTW, Hilbert.), perform Convolution, Deconvolution, Correlation (i.e. auto, cross, matrix, partial, rank, etc.) and Covariance (auto- and cross-). All of the functionality is available in the VisiQuest graphical programming environment, meaning engineers do not need to write any programs using a proprietary language when developing and testing their prototypes. As a result, they can dramatically improve their ability to get products to market faster.
