ACR, ARRS strengthen their integration
The American College of Radiology (ACR) and the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) have initiated a restructuring of their strategic integration.

Under the new alliance, ACR and ARRS will continue to serve their respective memberships under separate governance structures and operations.  However, as part of the newly established alliance, each organization may carry out certain services for the other where increased impact or efficiency may be achieved.

The leadership of both organizations is assessing all phases of operations. This restructuring will be carried out over the next several months. ACR and ARRS members can expect uninterrupted access to the offerings that they have previously received as members of their respective organizations.

In February 2009, the societies first announced the alliance, specifically that the educational missions of ARRS and ACR would be integrated, with ARRS developing and delivering scientific and educational programs for members of ACR and ARRS.

The ACR and ARRS said they will keep both memberships informed of major developments as this restructuring process moves forward.
