Acuo releases clinical record, imaging sharing platform
ORLANDO—Acuo Technologies has released a fully integrated Cross-Enterprise Document Sharing for Imaging (XDS-I) solution at the 2008 HIMSS Conference.

The St. Paul, Minn.-based Acuo said its XDS allows a number of healthcare delivery organizations belonging to a clinical affinity domain (e.g. a community of care) to cooperate in the care of a patient by sharing clinical records in the form of documents and images as they proceed with their patients’ care delivery activities.

The company said its XDS/XDS-I is part of IHE’s IT Infrastructure Technical Framework, and offers the XDS integration profile, including XDS-I for medical imaging, which provides solutions to the problems of sharing clinical content across multiple applications and institutional boundaries.

Acuo said its release is forthcoming.
