As of January 2008, Aetna has said it will offer every federal enrollee access to an online personal health record (PHR) that provides a resource for health information and delivers personalized alerts to improve healthcare, according to the payor.

Currently, 26,000 Aetna federal enrollees have access to its online PHR system.

Aetna’s PHR is powered by ActiveHealth Management’s CareEngine system.
