AFC debuts add-ons to workstations, new point-of-care station
AFC Industries debuted a pop-up unit addition to its Ergo Tier Deluxe workstation at the 93rd scientific assembly and annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago last month.

Ergo Tier Deluxe, an ergonomic radiology reading station with an electronically powered, fully adjustable tilting and height work surface and monitor arms set, designed for maximum in comfort, convenience and safety. There are touch- button adjustments for surface height, surface tilt, monitor height and retraction. The new Ergo Tier Deluxe is equipped with a pop-up unit for data converters, power connections and USB ports.

Vincent Bocchimuzzo, marketing director of AFC, explained that in the preparation for this year’s show, the company tried to figure out how to display its wall mount, Point of Care PC200_01 with power supply. They decided to put the model on the pole cart for the conference, creating a new product. The model now has two functions – it can be wheeled around like a typical point of care cart, but also pushed against a wall to remain unobtrusive.

The PC200_01 is designed to hold laptops, PC-based computers and small instruments, and can be used in exam or operating rooms, critical care, beside a patient's bed, or anywhere space is limited. The model is equipped with a gas spring mechanism for easy height adjustment, and a lever for fixing the position. The standard model comes with a CPU holder behind the telescopic pole and also comes with 5 inch casters.
