AFP Imaging receives Canadian clearance
Health Canada, the Canadian regulator of drugs and health products, has granted AFP Imaging a medical device license to market its NewTom VG 3D cone beam CT scanner in Canada.
The Elmsford, N.Y.-based AFP said its NewTom VG provides clinicians with 3D radiographic images of the teeth and jaws while allowing patients to stand, sit or remain in their wheel chairs while being scanned.
The products are manufactured by AFP’s subsidiary, Quantitative Radiology in Verona, Italy, according to AFP.
