Hospital Systems, a subsidiary of patent-holding company Acacia Research, has resolved its suit against Agfa Healthcare, ending a dispute over medical imaging technology.

Magistrate Judge Charles Everingham of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Friday dismissed with prejudice all pending claims and counterclaims between Agfa and Hospital Systems, reported Law360.

The ruling formalizes a settlement agreement first announced in July.

In a statement released at the time, Newport Beach, Calif.-based Acacia said it had entered  into a licensing agreement with Agfa covering a portfolio of patents for medical archiving and communication technology.

The financial terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
